Gears are designed to transmit rotational motion between shafts with parallel, intersecting or crossing axes, as well as to convert rotational motion into translational or oscillatory. Gears are made in the form of two gears (wheels and gears), a gear (pinions) and a rack, a worm and a worm wheel.
